The Escalade has never been a subtle vehicle, but this takes things to another level.

Cadillac has taken the cover off of the 2025 Escalade, and as we should all expect from the flagship SUV of America’s most iconic luxury automaker, many of the specs are pretty insane.

While we haven’t yet met the all-electric Escalade IQ โ€”ย Cadillac says that’s coming later this year โ€” the newest iteration of North America’s best-selling luxury full-size SUV features advanced lighting tech borrowed from the upcoming EV, new 24-inch wheels (the model’s biggest ever), a bolder redesigned front end and more.

But there’s one feature of this new Cadillac that is straight-up absurd … even for an Escalade.

A Rolling Movie Theater

Take a peek inside the new Escalade, and you’ll instantly see what all the fuss is about. Stretching from pillar to pillar and incorporating the dashboard, infotainment center and then some, is a curved display measuring 55 inches across. Essentially, it’s a legitimate big-screen TV in your car.

The “Total Diagonal Display,” as Cadillac calls it, is also derived from the future Escalade IQ and effectively appears as one continuous screen but functions as three.

Behind the steering wheel, the display acts as your gauges and provides the driver with the usual pertinent information, albeit in a highly advanced way. (There’s also a full-color HUD display so you can keep your eyes on the road.)

The expansive middle of the display acts as your infotainment control center where you can access and adjust settings relating to navigation, ambient lighting, communication, apps and music. The system can also be operated via voice control, is equipped with Google Built-in and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Finally, what truly sets this screen apart is the far right side of the screen. This part of the display sits directly in front of the passenger and acts as a dedicated entertainment screen. It can be used to stream video or browse the web with access to apps like Hulu and YouTube.

Because One Giant Screen Isn’t Enough

In case you need more stimulation than one massive 55-inch screen can provide, the new Escalade offers up to four โ€”ย count ’em, four โ€”ย additional displays.

Arriving standard is the iPad-like touchscreen control panel located just below the Total Diagonal Display on the center console. From here you can set the climate, operate the doors and windows and access features like parking assist.

Optionally, if you spring for the new Executive Second Row package, you get a trio of screens in the second row of the vehicle. This includes two 12.6-inch-diagonal personal screens for streaming video, one mounted on the back of each of the front headrests, plus a center-mounted control panel for controlling the second row’s climate and seat settings (massage included).

Additionally, the package features stowable tray tables, a pair of wireless phone charging pads and speakers embedded into the headrests; part of the 40-speaker set-up included when you opt for this package.

Pricing and Trims

As before, there are two distinct Escalade models: the standard and the extra-long Escalade ESV. Both are available in six trims offering different levels of features: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum and V-Series.

All are powered by the same 420-horsepower 6.2L V8 putting out 460 lb-ft of torque, except for the high-performance Escalade-V and Escalade-V ESV, which get a supercharged 6.2L V8 cranking out 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque.

Pricing for the new Escalade has not yet been announced, but given the upgrades we’ve seen โ€”ย and the fact that cars rarely become cheaper over time โ€”ย I’d expect starting prices north of the 2024 Escalade and Escalade-V’s starting SRPs of $81,895 and $152,295, respectively.
