Give them credit; this Austrian Motorhome maker clearly understands the American mindset when it comes to elite overlanding. The company’s first-ever U.S. release is fully prepped for apocalypse survival while offering plenty of the finer things you’d miss if your home was tragically vaporized.

Made in partnership with Arctic Trucks, the vehicle centers around Artic Truck’s AT44 XT2 Ford F-550 with an additional second rear axle upgrade. But this isn’t a 6×6 – the extra wheels are included only for weight distribution. This design tweak and other suspension upgrades let the truck drive at close to stock height, adding to its nimbler feel behind the wheel, at least compared to bigger traditional RVs.

In many ways the truck offers an impressive amount of the floor space. But that king size bed does look awfully tight back there.

The camper top is spacious enough to feature a separate bedroom with a king-size mattress, but that’s literally it for floor space. There’s also an HVAC system, Bang & Olufsen audio, a full-size shower, and a separate toilet, plus a galley/living area that includes a dual-burner Mile induction cooktop, a microwave, a Vitrifrigo C270DP fridge-freezer combination, a 32-inch TV, and a seating area that converts to a queen-sized bed.

If you want more creature comforts, Krug Expeditions can oblige. Other options include a washing machine, 5G connectivity (you can also have a Starlink system installed if you purchase it first), an outdoor kitchen setup, a hydraulic motorcycle lift, heated floors, and even a submersible water-filling pump for refilling the water tanks from natural freshwater bodies.

It may look like a tank on the outside, but the light woods and beige fabrics inside give off strong Muji store vibes.

Regarding other off-grid capabilities, a 23kW lithium-ion battery pack and a 1450 solar array power it all. The rig’s fuel tank also holds 63 GAL of diesel, while onboard water storage can hold up to 118 gallons of fresh water and 60 gallons of grey water. The water is filtered through a one-micron General Ecology Seagull IV-X2 filter system and a microbe-killing PURION 1000 UV light system.

Naturally, outlasting the end of days in high style comes at a price. The base model costs start at a cool $690,000, and the first deliveries will arrive in 2025.
