For many people visiting Austin, Texas, top on their list of things to do is pay a visit to Franklin Barbecue. The restaurant is considered the pre-eminent BBQ joint in America and is famous not only for its unbeatable brisket and pulled pork, but also for its taxing, hours-long lines.

The 15-year-old restaurant’s James Beard Award-winning chef and founder, Aaron Franklin, is now recognized as a culinary celebrity, and Franklin Barbecue has expanded to include a line of groceries like BBQ sauces and seasonings and even home BBQ pits.

If you want to actually sample Franklin Barbecue’s food for yourself, you have two choices: You can either travel to Austin and brave the restaurant’s legendary lines, or you can order some meat from Goldbelly and have it shipped to you.

As of today, the second option just became more alluring.

More Meat at Home

You may be familiar with Goldbelly. It’s an online retailer that partners with popular restaurants around the country to ship their most famous and beloved items to your home.

Franklin has partnered with Goldbelly for years, offering up a Whole Brisket + Texas BBQ Sauce box โ€” which includes a 4.5 โ€“ 5-lb brisket and a bottle of Franklin’s Texas Original BBQ Sauce โ€” for $269.95.

Now, the restaurant has expanded its Goldbelly offerings, allowing you to get your hands on more of its BBQ. (No licking your fingers!) Like just about everything else on Goldbelly, Franklin Barbecue’s new packages definitely aren’t cheap, but I’d wager they’re still more affordable than a trip to Texas for most people.

The first new package is the Whole Brisket + Sausage + Texas BBQ Sauce package for $309.95. It’s the same as the existing box but includes the addition of a pound of sausage links, with two sausage styles to choose from: Regular or Jalapeรฑo Cheddar.

Next, for a limited time, there’s a special Father’s Day Brisket Meal Kit that combines the Whole Brisket + Texas BBQ Sauce box with a bunch of merch. Included are a Franklin Barbecue: A Meat Smoking Manifesto signed cookbook, a Franklin Barbecue cap and apron, and a branded slicer and guard. The box is priced at $379.95.

Presumably, the Father’s Day package won’t be around for much longer (as it stands, it won’t arrive until after the holiday if you order it today), so I recommend ordering right away if you’re interested.
